## How It Works

PocketDigi is designed for simplicity and ease-of-use. Follow these quick steps to get started:

### Step 1: Pair Your TNC

* Open your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
* Scan for your KISS TNC (like Mobilinkd TNC3) and pair it once.

### Step 2: Set Your Callsign

1. Open PocketDigi.
2. Tap the **Callsign-SSID** field in the Operation card.
3. Enter your callsign (e.g., `N0CALL-7`). PocketDigi saves it automatically.

### Step 3: Connect to the TNC

1. In the Bluetooth TNC card, select your paired device.
2. Press **Connect**.
3. The status indicator turns green, signaling beaconing has begun.

### Step 4: Configure Your Station

* **Enable Digipeater:** Automatically re-transmit packets over RF.
* **Enable iGate:** Gate RF to the internet and internet packets to RF.

> Ensure internet access and location permissions are enabled for iGate functionality.

### Step 5: Monitor Activity

* **Statistics:** See packet counts for heard, digipeated, gated, and beaconed traffic.
* **Activity Log:** Track live packet traffic with intuitive color coding:

* **Green (RX):** Packets received over the radio
* **Yellow (TX):** Digipeated packets
* **Cyan (TX):** Internet-to-RF gated packets
* **Orange (TX):** Your position beacons
* **White:** System messages
